*Crows are intelligent, not vulture like I said
Meet our incredible Griffon vulture pair, who have been used as foster parents to successfully fledge nestlings into the wild. Each year, despite laying infertile eggs—likely due to their handicap from having rickets when they were young—they are given a demi egg to incubate. Once the egg hatches, they are provided with a foster nestling to raise as their own.
Watch as the nestling grows up surrounded by wildlife nestlings that come to eat at the nearby feeding station. This year, the pair was given a 10-day-old nestling on December 11, 2025. Witness the touching journey of these dedicated foster parents and their adopted young as they thrive in nature.

The vultures are a part of the "Opening Wing" vulture conservation project, which is a joint effort led by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, the Israel Electric Company, and the Israel Society for the Protection of Nature, aimed at increasing vulture populations. The camera was installed and maintained by the Charter Group Birdcams (Shamir Research Institute and the University of Haifa) with funding from a private donor.
