Post-match press conference with Everton manager David Moyes after their 1-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Idrissa Gueye was sent off in the 13th minute for slapping team mate Michael Keane, but 10 man Everton took the lead when Kiernan Dewsbury Hall beat two defenders and smashed into the top corner on 29 minutes. Jordan Pickford then produced several big saves, including a brilliant stop from a Joshua Zirkzee header, to earn Everton their first league win at Old Trafford since 2013 and Moyes’ first ever victory there as a visiting manager.

Moyes praised his players’ resilience, toughness and commitment, said he was “quite pleased” to see his players fighting because it showed how much they cared, and revealed Gueye had apologised in the dressing room. He spoke about managing the game with 10 men, highlighted the work of Thierno Barry up front, and picked out Dewsbury Hall and James Garner for their performances, while hailing Pickford’s latest display in goal as Everton moved up to 11th above rivals Liverpool.
