In this video we look at how to grow a mixed annual and perennial boarder.
We start with site assessment, then design considerations, soil preparation, plant selection, quantity calculations and finally planting.
There is a very wide range of plants that can be used for this project, you choose your color palette, your height range and your plant density. On average I recommend 14" between plants. This density has plants overlapping to create a drift or cloud effect that cannot be achieved with isolated individual plants.
If this is your first planting endeavor, don't aim for perfection. Start a project and you will learn so much that can be used next year.
