Tuesday marked what would have been the 99th birthday of the late anti-apartheid stalwart, Harry Gwala.
Gwala served eight-years on Robben Island until his release in 1972, but was re-arrested in 1976 and sentenced to life imprisonment until his release in 1988. There after he suffered motor neuron disease which robbed him of the use of his arms.
To mark the upcoming centenary of his life, The "Harry Gwala Foundation" was launched yesterday - and joining us in studio is its interim chairperson and deputy chair of the ANC in Gauteng, Panyaza Lesufi.
