Open recruitment, recruitment of high school graduates… these days, the job market is beginning to turn away from university-based favoritism. Also, many social leaders are advising people to find their own way. But then why is the competition to enter good universities still so fierce? Though the era when a degree from a good school guaranteed you a job anywhere has passed, university-based favoritism has worsened. The advent of neoliberalism has led to a reduction in decent jobs; youth have become more desperate to secure a degree from a good university, though it has become a mere minimum requirement for such positions. Let us reflect together on how to survive in such a society.

열린채용, 고졸공채... 최근의 채용시장에서는 탈학벌주의적인 흐름이 포착되고 있습니다. 또 사회의 많은 멘토들이 '자신만의 길'을 가라고 조언하곤 합니다. 그런데 왜 여전히 입시경쟁은 치열하기만 할까요? 학벌만 좋으면 어디든 취업할 수 있었던 '1차 학벌주의' 시대는 넘어섰지만 오히려 더 치열한 '2차 학벌주의'가 심화되었기 때문입니다. 신자유주의 이후 좋은 일자리는 더 줄어들었고 따라서 '좋은 대학간판'이라도 최소 요건으로 확보하고 싶은 구직자의 심리는 더욱 간절해졌습니다. 이러한 학벌주의사회에서 제대로 살아남기 위한 방법을 함께 고민해 봅니다.
