I understanding wanting to kill yourself - I was there when I was 18. When I saw the hatred around me, I wanted to leave. I didn't know at the time that I could choose another way. At the depths of sorrow, I found my meaning, I found my purpose - to be an activist for peace and justice. I knew life is a precious gift, and from that time forth I worked toward being the best activist I could be by never having another "bad day." After all, if you have food and a friend, then why complain? Instead, be thankful for your food and your friend - nourishment for both body and soul.
