आधी हक़ीक़त आधा फ़साना... हमारी आंखों के सामने पूरा शहर था... लेकिन उसके वीरान होने की वजह एकदम धुंधली... दरअसल हमें ये पता चला था कि एक शहर है....जो कई सौ साल से वीरान पड़ा है... सदियों पहले वहां 15 हज़ार लोग रहते थे... और उनकी रोज़ की कमाई लाखों में थी.. यानी आज के हिसाब से बात करें तो करोड़ों में... लेकिन एक तूफानी रात में कुछ घटा... कुछ ऐसा कि वो पूरा का पूरा शहर वीरान हो गया... लोग जैसे हवा में गायब हो गए... क्या हुआ.... कैसे हुआ.... कोई नहीं जानता... किसी पड़ोसी राजा ने नरसंहार किया... किसी प्राकृतिक आपदा ने सब ख़त्म कर दिया... या कोई महामारी सब मिटा गई.... लेकिन ये सब एक रात में तो हो नहीं सकता... तो क्या हुआ था...उस शहर के वीरान होने के पीछे कौन सी कहानी है... और ऐसा क्या है जिसकी वजह से सैलानी वहां रात में नहीं रुकते... ये ऐसा रहस्य है,,, जो आज तक अनसुलझा है... अब किसी जगह में इतना रहस्य हो तो भला हम वहां कैसे नहीं जाते... तो चलिए हमारे साथ... आज की हमारी मंज़िल है गुजरात का वीरान शहर.... लखपत...​
