Perrin Aybara of the Two Rivers is ta'veren and discovers he is a wolf brother. He journeys with Rand al'Thor but returns to the Two Rivers to find Whitecloaks are there led by Dain Bornhald. Not only that, there are Trollocs as well.
When the Trollocs attack and Bornhald comes to help, Padan Fain is with him and the battle takes a different turn as Fain is a Darkfriend that Trollocs will obey.
Perrin wins the battle but says the violence won't end until someone says enough. He submits to arrest by the Whitecloaks.
We simply must know what happens next.
