Ride along POV for four RX-8 track battles against two prepped S2000s, a prepped GR86, and a well-driven FK8 Civic Type R at the WDCR SCCA event #2 at Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit. Can the RX-8 hold its own against more powerful modern hardware, or is it finally doomed to obsolescence...?
I finally did a session with the footcam to show heel-toe and left foot braking in the RX-8, which is exciting. And i am still running OLD Falken RT660s and had a passenger in all sessions, which certainly didn't help my power to weight ratio. And even though i just added more rear camber, the car is STILL lively under trail braking. i either need to adapt my driving style, play with shock settings, disconnect the rear bar, or some combo. Hopefully fresher tires will also help move the balance towards stability.
Regardless of how bad i get beat - nothing can beat the character and driving experience of the RX-8!
