La Semana Santa “Holy Week in Chalchihuites, Zacatecas, Mexico"

A heartfelt and dedicated project, created by Alejo Manuel Castillo L., with the goal of sharing our rich culture and tradition with the world.

What makes this film and or documentary unique is that it's the first time it's been filmed from the participants' perspective, offering an intimate and authentic view of the Via crucis tradition in Chalchihuites.

In this documentary, we explore the iconic locations of Chalchihuites, such as the Church of Saint Peter the Apostle, El Jardín Square, El Mercado Market, the Church of Guadalupe, and the Santo Entierro Temple, where a relic over 445 years old is preserved.

The film showcases the Viacrucis tradition, reenacted by the inhabitants and natives of Chalchihuites, with the authorization of the church, carrying life-size images of Jesus and Mary, and praying through the main streets of the town.

"La Semana Santa en Chalchihuites, Zacatecas, México"

Un proyecto lleno de corazón y dedicación, realizado por Alejo Manuel Castillo L., con el objetivo de compartir nuestra rica cultura y tradición con el mundo.

Lo que hace único a este documental es que es la primera vez que se graba desde la perspectiva de los participantes, ofreciendo una visión íntima y auténtica de la tradición del Viacrucis en Chalchihuites.

En este documental, recorremos los lugares emblemáticos de Chalchihuites, como la iglesia del Apóstol San Pedro, la plaza El Jardín, el mercado El Mercado, la iglesia de Guadalupe y el templo del Santo Entierro, donde se conserva una reliquia de más de 445 años.

La película muestra la tradición del Viacrucis, enactada por los habitantes y nativos de Chalchihuites, con la autorización de la iglesia, llevando imágenes de tamaño natural de Jesús y María, y rezando por las calles principales del pueblo.
