Stay at the Bioluminescent Bay! DELTA HOTELS by MARRIOTT Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites Tour

Yes it's true! During early Spring and late Summer, if you go out into the Bay around midnight and shake your hands around (about a hands width under water) you will see the glowing glittery algae! We saw it on this trip in September, but we had to swim out past the sand bar to see it since it was cold the weekend we were there. The algae comes out when it's warm. If you are planning a trip to Virginia Beach, stay here at Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites for a secluded beach experience to see them at night! From the pictures during high algae season it looks like you can see it on the beach from your balcony!

The balconies are one of the highlights of this hotel! Almost all of them face the ocean! You will see in the video that this is on of the the best hotels in Virginia Beach! If you're thinking about having a wedding here, I highly recommend it! The staff was really warm and inviting and they have a number of venues for you to get married at sunset! The sunsets here are simply breathtaking!
