I know what Cersei has done is behind justification, but her emotional journey from the first seasons to the seventh is wonderful: she remains well, a bitch, but she starts off as a loving mother and she soon becomes a mother who has lost all her children.
And a lot of other stuff.

She’s got nothing left except for power and grief, and she will hold on to them because they’re all she’s got.
And she can’t affort to feel anything, because if she starts everything she’s built will crumble.
Right now, she’s numb, and she’s hurt. And the only person who reminds her what it means to be alive is Jaime.

Aaaand, I wanted to focus on that.
