In spring the hills of the east Cascades come alive with our native balsamroot. I ditched the crowds to do a little peakbagging and see these flowers on full display. Enjoy!
Remember to leave no trace, parking is often limited at trailheads in this area, do not pick flowers, and have a backup hike planned if parking at your first destination is full. Happy hiking!
