Stockholm Christmas Market | A day in the city

After one month of moving to Sweden, life has been busy, paperwork, settling in, adapting, and trying to build our new routine. With winter arriving and Christmas just around the corner, we realized we needed a moment to slow down, breathe, and actually enjoy the cosy season everyone talks about. ❄️✨

So today, we decided to take a break and visit the Christmas Market in
Gamla Stan, Stockholm. We’re not really a big-city couple, but since Stockholm is the closest city to us, we took the chance to explore its festive side. And honestly… every minute felt magical. From the warm lights against the cold winter sky, to the smell of glögg, cinnamon, and roasted almonds filling the air, Christmas was everywhere.

Even if we didn’t spend too long at the market, the vibe, the colours, and the cosy winter feeling made the trip so worth it. This little escape reminded us why we moved here and how beautiful Swedish winter can be when you let yourself enjoy it. ✨
