BIOGRAPHY:
Bleary Eyed was initially formed in 2015 by Nathaniel Salfi and the band has evolved through different lineups experimenting with their sound. The current lineup includes Nathaniel Salfi (guitar & vocals), Margot Whipps (bass & vocals), Pax Martyn (guitar), and Charlie Libby Watt (drums).
Bleary Eyed blends elements of shoegaze, noise pop, fuzz rock, and sample-based pop production, creating a unique sound with hazy, computer pop atmospheres.
The band took a break during the 2020 quarantine, which Salfi saw as a "weird reset" that allowed them to reevaluate and make more honest, raw music. After the pandemic, Bleary Eyed released their album "Guise" and played their first show since lockdown at Grey's Ferry skatepark in the summer of 2021.
Bleary Eyed is scheduled to perform at SXSW 2025 and have performed a set of three songs from their self-titled EP in the WXPN Key Studio Sessions.
