I'm always on the lookout for places with a good view where I can park safely to paint. This crazy big parking lot in Bewdley fit the bill perfectly. I could see just a touch of Rice Lake through the pathway in the distance.
You really can't predict what you're going to get when you paint, nor should you. But, there are certain things you CAN know for sure. For example, I know I'm going to get a resolved, satisfying work at the end of the session. I know that because I know how to manipulate the elements and principles of art in such a way to achieve a good result.
But, beyond that the variables are so many that you just have to be open to surprise always. I was really pleased with the way this little piece turned out but I had no idea it would have this particular look and feel.
