Camiguin Island Philippines: One of the best Island in the Philippines 2022. Camiguin is a small and peaceful island province in the Philippines located in the Bohol Sea off the northern coast of Mindanao. It may be the smallest island in Mindanao and the second smallest province in the Philippines, but it has surprisingly a lot of tourist spots to offer.
Dubbed the “Island Born of Fire,” Camiguin is home to seven volcanoes that continue to shape and reshape its unique landscape.
The interior forest reserves known as Mount Hibok-Hibok Protected Landscape have been declared an ASEAN Heritage Park. But it’s the water-based attractions that make Camiguin special.
This compact island also hides numerous waterfalls, natural springs, unspoiled beaches and diving spots that will please adventurous travelers. Camiguin is home to a Sunken Cemetery which continues to fascinate travelers from all over the world.

Camiguin Travel Requirements and Guidelines | COVID-19 New Normal
Camiguin has re-opened and the island is once again welcoming leisure travelers, but to lessen the spread of COVID-19, the local government has released a set of requirements and guidelines that tourists need to know when planning their trip to the Island Born of Fire.
1. Who are allowed to go to Camiguin?
Camiguin Island is open to tourists who are fully vaccinated from COVID-19. This means that they have received their last dose of their vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to their trip. Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to present a negative RT-PCR test to enter the island, but a vaccination certificate or a vaccination card is needed to prove their fully vaccinated status. Travelers also need to have a confirmed pre-booking at any of the LGU-accredited hotels and resorts in Camiguin.
Once you have all these requirements, visit cleancamiguinqr.com, fill out the Health Declaration Form, and upload the documents needed. You should receive an ID with a QR code that you need to print out. If you are staying in the province for more than 5 days, you need to take an antigen test on your fifth day on the island.
2. What are the entry points in Camiguin?
To reach Camiguin Island, you can either get on a flight to Camiguin Airport from Cebu, or board a ferry to Benoni Wharf. Many travelers opt to board a ferry from Cagayan de Oro.
3. What travel requirements do you need to prepare?
Here are the requirements that you need to prepare before going to Camiguin:
Get a vaccination card or certificate
Only fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to go to the island for leisure purposes, so you need to present a vaccination card or vaccination certificate to prove your fully vaccinated status. No negative COVID-19 test result is required for entry.
Book with an LGU-accredited Camiguin hotel or resort
You need to provide a confirmed booking from a Camiguin hotel or resort. If you are staying in a private home, you need to secure clearance from the Municipal Health Officer.

Visit cleancamiguinqr.com and upload all the requirements. You’ll also need to fill out a Health Declaration Form on the website. Once done, you will receive an ID with a QR code. You need to print this out for your trip.
Schedule an antigen test (for those staying more than 5 days)
If you plan to stay on the island for more than 5 days, take note that you need to take an antigen test on your fifth day.
4. What are the guidelines and protocols to follow when you're in Camiguin?
Once you're in Camiguin, make sure you follow these safety requirements:
Minimum health standards: Mask and face shield
All residents and domestic tourists must wear face masks, face shields, wash hands regularly and practice proper social distancing especially in public establishments. This is to help reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 disease.
5. What activities can you do in Camiguin during quarantine?
You can enjoy the many tourist spots in Camiguin, which include White Island, Mantigue Island, and the Sunken Cemetery.
