On September 14th, 2024, I had to head up to Austin for the day. Seeing that this northbound mixed freight was approaching, I decided to catch it in San Marcos and chase it north to Austin. I chose the Uhland Road crossing in San Marcos as it would provide for an easy egress onto the interstate for the chase. After a short wait, up came the northbound mixed freight with the lousiest lashup imaginable: a single Tier-4 GEVO. I am amazed UP entrusted a single Tier 4 to pull the entire train...
Nothing noticeable has changed with this crossing since my last video here in 2021.
