Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Cheeseburger
Ingredients:
Ground Beef – 1 lb (use with some fat to prevent the meat from drying out in air fryer)
Bacon – 8 strips
Garlic Powder – 1/4 tsp
Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Cheddar Cheese – 1/4 cup
Preferred Cheese – 4 slices (optional)
Stuffing Ingredients:
Oil – 1/2 Tbsp
Mini Bell Peppers – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Onion – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Jalapeno – 1 small (chopped, seeded if you prefer less spicy)
Salt – As needed
Instructions:
1. Prepare the stuffing mixture on stovetop by sauteing mini bell peppers, onion, jalapeno in oil and season with salt. Once veggies are tender and browned, remove from heat and set aside
2. Preheat Air Fryer at 375 degrees F for 5 minutes
3. Mix the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and worcestershire sauce together
4. Separate the beef mixture into 4 equal balls
5. Using the bottom of a measure cup (or small bottle), press and flatten the middle part of the ball to place stuffing in
6. Press the broken edges of the beef patty with your finger to prevent the stuffing from leaking
7. Place cheddar cheese in each patty and top with the stuffing mixture
8. Place each patty on 2 slices of bacon and tuck the ends of bacon under the patty. Make sure to completely cover the stuffing with the bacon to prevent leaking
9. Place the patty in the preheated air fryer basket with bacon ends tucked under
10. Air fry at 375 degrees F for 13-15 minutes. Air fry in batches if needed
11. Flip the patty carefully after 10 minutes to evenly crisp up the bacon on both sides
12. Add additional time if needed
13. Once cooking time is completed, add a slice of cheese (optional) if you prefer, and close the air fryer lid for 30 seconds to allow the cheese to melt
14. Serve with your favorite toppings/condiments on a bun or on a salad or other low carb sides if following low carb diet
