Weekend road trip van camping and hiking at Cadair Idris mountain, part of the Mach Loop area in Wales. Checking the Government web site there was no RAF low level flight training today so no plane spotting for me. But I did have an eventful hike getting caught out in some windy and rainy bad weather and getting lost on the way down taking a wrong turn because of bad visibility. I didn't fancy being a missing hiker that evening and phoned the campsite to say I was a bit off course and they said they would call out Mountain Rescue if I needed it! Battered and exhausted I was determined to hack off trail around the mountain until finally I found the road leading back to the campsite. An exciting day to say the least!
