-Apples and Handstand for the new year -
When I was a kid (which apparently is still going on...) I had a thing for apples. I just loved this fruit, and according to my mom I ate those red yellow or green apples by the KILOS. Later on, as a teenager, I remember I used to have this little ceremony…I made sure that I always had an apple (or two) in my gym bag, and the memory of me sitting in a car after practice, eating an apple and day dreaming about gymnastics (of course) is vivid and fresh in my mind.
Every year around September, Jews around the world celebrate the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashana), and among other things, they eat apples and honey and wish each other SHANA TOVA (a good upcoming year).
We happen to have a marvelous apple tree in our garden which this year is covered with those red sweet apples (with touches of sourness and an occasional french worm) and I simply couldn't resist but to combine two passions of mine and wish my friends and family around the world a great year filled with apples happiness handstand and love.
So,
Eat Apples!
Do Handstands!
