April 2024 "Power Tune:" the "Mountain Road" by Michael Gorman

It turned out at last month's session that most people didn't know the reel "Mountain Road." Well, this must be remedied and cannot be allowed to stand, because it's just a great tune. Apparently there's also a third part, which I might need to look into; but two parts is most commonly played, and usually it's AB single reel format. As you may be coming to understand, I'm pretty opinionated and I don't mind saying that this is the only way this reel should be played, and if you like it AABB, then you're just wrong. But if it's your session, I'll just play it like you do, only with a deep sigh every time we inexplicably repeat the parts when ALL they want to do is go on.

Anyway.
