Don River Railway 50th Anniversary! 4K Rails Around Tasmania! 14-16/2/2025

The Don River Railway in the city of Devonport in Northern Tasmania is the state's premier heritage rail organisation, with a giant collection of Locomotives, Railcars, Wagons and Carriages from all over Tasmania, doing world class restorations on this equipment at their workshops at Don. The Railway also has a scenic 3.2km long line from their home base to Coles Beach on the former Melrose line.
On the weekend of the 14th-16th of February 2025 The railway Celebrated 50 Years of Operations with a giant festival of all things train, with no less than 4 Visiting Engines, including C22 from the Tasmanian Transport Museum in Glenorchy, Abt 3 from the West Coast Wilderness Railway in Queenstown, Wee Georgie Wood from the Wee Georgie Wood Railway in Tullah, and Krauss number 1 from the Redwater Creek Railway in Sheffield. Throughout the event continuous shuttles were run with C22 and No 3 along with Don River Railway's Diesel Locomotives Y6 and 1002.
