Ausable Chasm is a
two mile long gorge
in the Adirondacks
in upstate New York. The Ausable River
empties into Lake
Champlain. There are
great views from a
bridge over the river. It is fed by the Rainbow Falls at the southern end and there is a powerhouse there for hydroelectricity.
