Claude Bolling is a French pianist and composer that dedicated part of his work to create "crossover" music, blending classical and jazz languages. His most famous work in this style is the Suite For Flute And Jazz Piano, recorded in 1975 with Jean-Pierre Rampal playing the lead "classical language" part on flute.
