Drivers side flooded with 3 inches of water after Car was parked to 2 weeks. I vacuumed out the water 3 times because it kept raining for 5 days. What I did was:
(1) Removed the wiper blades (2x13mm)
(2) Removed the Plastic Sheild (lift up away from the windshield)
(3) Removed the wiper motor and assembly (3x10mm)
(4) Cleaned area with 91% Alcohol and brush
(5) Used E6000 glue to seal any areas suspected of leaking
(6) ... reassemble everything
(7) Lift the carpet in wet areas
(8) Use a Dehumidifier for 3 days to 7 days on high

I don't know if you can see but the Vdub was in my driveway at about 10 degrees (nose down). even after the re-sealing of the windshield well, the car filled up with water again. I turned the car around to face trunk down at the same 10 degrees orientation. The car no longer leaks. The dehumidifier is still running inside the auto. I'm happy the auto has stopped filling up with water on the driver's side, but I am still scratching my head????????????? NEXT, I will be looking for leaks in/on the trunk seals. I wonder if Golfs have this problem?
