Women and Power: Pamela Dobban’s journey on establishing Kind Fund Children’s home

In the Samburu and Rendille communities, twins, children born of uncircumcised women and those born out of wedlock, are considered bad omens, whose fate is usually death. It is this culture that compelled Pamela Dobban to relocate from North Ireland and help rescue these children. Through Kind Fund Children’s home, they now have a safe haven and a chance at a bright future. Pamela Dobban’s journey is the subject of this week’s Women and Power.
