Instruction video on how to calibrate and setup the Heathkit CI-1080
First time after purchase:
1. Adjust needle to balance
2. Open device
3. Connect to battery
4. Set switch to calibration
5. Adjust potentiometer without shaft so needle is at 15
6. Move switch back to Normal
7. Close device
Done
When using device on a car
1. Warm up engine to operating temperature
2. Shut engine off
3. Place sensor next to muffler - do not insert pipe in muffler yet
4. Place tester on table next to the engine compartment where you can observe the meter while adjusting mixture
5. Connect power cord to car battery
6. Adjust needle to Balance by turning the shaft potentiometer from behind with flat head screw driver
7. Start car
8. Insert pipe into exhaust tail pipe
9. Adjust mixture at idle for your specific car and model
