Delta State continues to set national records in prudent governance and economic stability. Under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, the state achieved a landmark 55% reduction in domestic debt — dropping from ₦465.4 billion in 2023 to ₦204.7 billion in 2025 — reinforcing Delta’s status as Nigeria’s 4th largest economy.
In this episode of DESOPADEC Weekly, we follow how transparency, accountability, and the M.O.R.E Agenda are shaping sustainable growth across the state.
The programme also features highlights from the 12th Annual Conference of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria in Effurun, where Governor Oborevwori, represented by DESOPADEC’s Executive Director of Projects, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, emphasized clean energy, rural electrification, waste-to-wealth initiatives, and the critical role of the media in promoting good governance.
This episode further spotlights the 2nd Youth Summit for Oil Producing Areas, where leaders including Dr. Okorodudu, Hon. Francis Waive, Hon. Stella Okotete, and Hon. Ejiro Jamani charged Delta youths to embrace peace, innovation, and sustainable development under the Renewed Hope and M.O.R.E Agenda.
It is an inspiring journey of debt reduction, youth empowerment, and economic reform — proving that Delta State is committed to growth that works for everyone.
