Eicma 2025 Milano - NEW 2026 Italjet Dragster 459 Twin - Walkaround & Details

The Italjet Dragster 459 Twin is a sporty scooter, the little brother of the Dragster 700 Twin, that combines Italjet's bold, distinctive design with motorcycle-level performance. It was presented as a world premiere at EICMA 2025, and I had the chance to see it firsthand. It features a 449cc, liquid-cooled, inline twin-cylinder engine capable of delivering 48 hp (35 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 41 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. It shares its platform with the larger Dragster 700 Twin, retaining the brand's signature aggressive aesthetic and exposed trellis frame. One of the main innovations is the patented SmartShift system, an intelligent automatic transmission that adapts to riding style and road conditions in real time. The curb weight is 180 kg, and the braking system features dual 270 mm discs and Brembo calipers at the front. At the rear, there's a 260 mm disc with a Brembo caliper. L'Italjet Dragster 459 Twin è uno scooter sportivo, fratello minore del Dragster 700 Twin, che unisce il design audace e distintivo di Italjet alle prestazioni da moto. È stato presentato all'EICMA 2025 come anteprima mondiale ed ho avuto modo di vederlo. Adotta un motore bicilindrico in linea da 449 cc, raffreddato a liquido, capace di erogare 48 CV (35 kW) a 9.500 giri/min e una coppia di 41 Nm a 8.000 giri/min. Condivide la piattaforma con il più grande Dragster 700 Twin, mantenendo l'estetica aggressiva e il telaio a traliccio esposto, tipico del marchio. Una delle novità principali è il sistema brevettato SmartShift, un cambio automatico intelligente in grado di adattarsi allo stile di guida e alle condizioni stradali in tempo reale. Il peso in ordine di marcia è di 180 kg e per fermare questo scooter ci pensa l’impianto frenante con doppio disco da 270 mm e pinze Brembo all’anteriore. Dietro, invece, c’è un disco da 260 mm con pinza Brembo. La dotazione tecnica include anche una forcella Marzocchi regolabile. Buona visione! 😉
