As the White House tries to explain its intelligence blunder, The Atlantic magazine has released the top-level text chain in which Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg was included by mistake. In a group thread on Signal with the Vice President, CIA Director, Director of National Intelligence and others, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared operational details about imminent strikes on Houthis in Yemen. Chuck Hagel was a Republican Senator from Nebraska before being tapped as Defense Secretary by President Obama. Hagel joins Christiane from D.C.
