Apophis expectation vs reality.

The asteroid Apophis is not expected to hit the Earth. Initially, there were concerns about a possible impact in 2029 or 2036, but subsequent observations and calculations have ruled out any significant risk of collision in those years. Apophis will pass close to Earth on April 13, 2029, coming within about 31,000 kilometers (19,000 miles), but it will not hit the planet.
