Live radio broadcast from Guildford Cathedral, 1 July 1970, with the cathedral choir, directed by Barry Rose and accompanied by Gavin Williams (sub-organist). The BBC safety tape that constitutes most of this upload was missing some elements, so we have supplied these from a different recording of the same Evensong elsewhere in the Archive. The insertions are of lower recording quality but they do allow us to present the complete service here. As you will hear, the service over-ran and the BBC faded the final hymn out half way through.
