Hey guys, firstly I’m not an expert in this I’m just sharing what I’ve learnt through books and online.
The blower I use is this;

The filter I use is this;
HEPA filter Ultima MPW78 grade H13
However, my advice would be this. Contact this company https://goo.gl/ybGPhp if you’re in the UK, in the USA, I google the same thing and find your stockists and ask them for the size you want and what fan it would need/require/they recommend.
You will want to get or wire in a potentiometer for sure.
The size doesn’t really make a difference in terms of efficacy but having a bigger filter is much more convenient because you’re working within a bigger sterile space, obviously it needs more fan power and a bigger place to put it so take that into consideration.
The wood you use is up to you, I’ve seen some YouTube videos where the guys make these HEPA’s bulletproof, I am not one of those guys. Fortunately, that is what silicone is for, allowing you to patch holes here and there.
But, even though she is ugly, doesn’t have a pre-filter and is loud as anything the petri dishes I ran in front of it show its clean air.

That is essential for dialling in your HEPA in across the board.
