Tux has done a great job at mitigating the rat problem we have that we were not sure if we would trap another one. As most things go, when you least expect it, another one shows up.
As you may know the Giant Schnauzer derived from the Standard Schnauzer. Killing rats, also known as "ratting" is part of what made the Schnauzer breed special.
From the AKC website: "Like the world's other barn-and-stable breeds, multitasking Schnauzers made their bones as ratters, herders, guardians, and hunters."
I understand if you are not a fan of a dog killing rats, but I prefer this method as it gives my dog a job to do and it helps eliminate an invasive species to the US.
