Carol Petersen, Senior Director of the Wellness Center, talks about the 2014 launch of the Pop-Up Pantry and its subsequent success as it approaches its 10-year anniversary. Approximately 300-400 students are served per week from 11,000 bags of groceries annually (equals 11,000 students visiting the Pantry per year. Curtis Granderson, UIC Alumnus and former MLB player, speaks about Grand Giving, part of the Curtis Granderson Foundation, which is also celebrating its 10th anniversary and its connection to the UIC Pop-Up Pantry.
