Just below Point A dam on the Conecuh River has long been known for producing a plethora of fossils from the Eocene and Cretaceous Periods (40-69 million years ago!), most notably...Shark teeth. Today I took my 8 year old twin Grandsons to the dam to see what they could find, and even with a high water level from recent rains, the river didn't disappoint!
We even ran into 2 helicopter pilots from nearby Fort Novosel (Fort Rucker) who had seen the area while overflying it and came to try their own luck...Hope you found some, Guys!
