Hi, it's Lois here, today I'm sharing a typical practice session from my studio where I paint without trying for a finished painting, but to practice and discover what is working and what isn't. The demo doesn't end with a polished painting, but that isn't the point of practice. the point is to experiment, make mistakes and learn what works, but just as importantly to learn what doesn't!
Beginners often get trapped in the myth of painting successfully every time, this is not how it works! Practice and making mistakes is the only way to learn, build skills and find your own style in watercolour landscape painting.
