Urdu Institute USA organized a monthly Urdu literary gathering at Oak Brook Public Library, Illinois, on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Participants and Contributions:
Ameen Haider – Host and Organizer; also recited a naatiyah nazm in tarannum.
Aysha Haq – Read a prose selection from an Urdu book.
Mohammad A. Siddiqui – Shared his thoughts on the life and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Mehboob Ali Khan – Poet, presented naatiya poetry.
Dr. Lateef Saif – Poet, presented naatiya poetry.
Ashhar Mehdi – Poet, presented naatiya poetry.
Event Theme:
The program was dedicated to honoring the life and seerat of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), following the month of Rabi ul-Awal. The audience deeply appreciated the readings, poetry, and reflections. Several attendees also shared their own thoughts and poetry to express love and respect for Seerat-un-Nabi.
