DIY Felt Stick Horse Tutorial: Crafting Fun for All Ages!

The stitching I use is a very basic running stitch, so don’t be put off! It really is very simple to achieve and the results are just gorgeous. Once you have made one, the chances are you won’t stop until you have your very own paddock of felt hobby horses. Another good project for make-believe fun is our felt stick unicorn.

Tools:
Pinking Shears — Zig Zag
Kai 8″ Scissors
Low-Temp Hot Glue Gun
Sewing Machine (hand-stitching is also an option!)

Materials:
Horse Pattern
Lia Griffith’s Wool Blend Felt
Batting Filler
Small Black Buttons — 2
Wooden Dowel – 4′-5/8″
Embroidery Floss
Clover Embroidery Needles
Ribbon (optional)

Instructions:
Follow the video tutorial. Note: For one felt hobby horse, you will need a piece of 12″x18″ felt for the head and ears and one 9″x12″ felt for the mane.
