6 large onions, chopped
1 whole chickens
1 cup sumac, or more to taste
salt and cracked black pepper to taste
2 cups water
¼ cup toasted pine nuts
¼ cup zereshk (barberry) OPTIONAL
tortilla wraps, arabic bread, markouk or Iranian lavash bread work perfectly with this
