OPTUS OUTAGES
Optus, one of Australia's biggest telecommunication networks, is under fire again after a mobile tower fault in Dapto, New South Wales, impacted about 4,500 customers and lead to 9 failed calls to triple-zero. This happened just 10 days after Optus's last outage, when a network upgrade caused hundreds of emergency calls to fail across Australia - and has been linked to the deaths of three people, which Optus is now under investigation for. Optus has apologised for both of the outages and confirmed that the people impacted in the second outage are all okay. These events have sparked a lot of outrage but experts say Aussies shouldn't lose faith in the triple-zero network. In the event you can't get through to 000 because of an outage, we've got a few tips.

SELENA GOMEZ MARRIED
Selena Gomez has officially tied the knot with music producer Benny Blanco. The star shared photos and videos from the big day to her 417 million Instagram followers - and according to Vogue, it was a star studded affair, with the guest list including Taylor Swift, and Gomez's Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

AFL GRAND FINAL
It was a jam-packed weekend of sport with the Brisbane Lions taking out their second AFL Premiership in a row, this time pulling off a 47-point win over the Geelong Cats. American rapper Snoop Dogg warmed things up pre-game, and then it was time for the felines to battle it out. The first half was neck and neck, but the Lions pounced and took home the trophy. They celebrated in Fitzroy, Melbourne, before flying back to headquarters where the party certainly isn't over.

NRL
The Brisbane Broncos have defeated the Pentrith Panthers 16-14. Early on...it wasn't looking too good for the Broncos, who were trailing 14-0 at half-time. But three tries and a nail-biting sideline conversion later, the Broncos pulled off a comeback to remember. They'll face off against Melbourne Storm in the big dance this weekend.

WORLD PARA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
And finally to the World Para Swimming Championships in Sinagpore, where Australia has finished with nine gold medals and a world record! Alexa Leary, Rowan Crothers, Chloe Osborn and Callum Simpson teamed up in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay, setting a record time of 3 minutes and 58.4 seconds!

STRONGMAN TEETH
First to this Egyptian wrestler known as "strong man", who has pulled a 635-tonne ship using only his teeth! The feat required a lot of training but he's a veteran - he's previously used his teeth to pull a truck, a train, and one day wants to pull a plane using only his eyelid muscles.

WORLD'S TALLEST BRIDGE
Now to China, where the world's tallest bridge has officially been opened to traffic after three years of construction. The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge towers 625 metres above the ground, and there was even some wingsuit flying to mark the occasion!

BUILDING SKATEBOARDER
And finally, to every skateboarder's dream. Brazilian skateboarder Sandro Dias has skated down the side of a 22-storey building - one that's been eyed by skateboarders for decades. He dropped 60 metres, topped 103 kays an hour, and snagged two world records.
