I know someone that has the Pixio. The set-up has me saying no way!

The Soloshot is great at tracking but works off a GPS - clear, open skies only improves the tracking. Set up takes 2-3 minutes. I usually walk away and have it built into my tack-up routine. Still waiting for the indoor accessory. You have to be mindful not to get too close to the Soloshot unit. The signal must interfere with the signal of the Soloshot unit. I do like that the Soloshot 65 makes 10 minute clips. This frees up space and allows sharing videos easier.

The Pivo set up takes less than a minute. I select AI, Frenzy, turn off Predictive Follow, select Auto Zoom and Exposure. I also used Horse Beta. Overall the Pivo did great. With great cameras on cellphones, it makes the picture so nice. However, I don't know how it would perform with multiple horses or a lot going on in the background. This did follow the instructor in another video. This is disappointing.

Overall, both work 2/3 of the time. The 1/3 of the time that is doesn't is the time you want it to the most. Therefore, how much is the frustration of the 1/3 of the bad is it worth to you. The Soloshot is $600 and the Pivo is $150-200. What is your wallet worth? Black Friday specials have us thinking!
