We spent a week behind the wheel of the 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Coupe Premium, finished in Carbonized Gray Metallic and equipped with nearly $14,000 in upgrades. Highlights include the $5,995 Matte Clear Film, which adds a smooth satin texture and protects the paint, and the $3,475 High Performance Package featuring 315 horsepower, Brembo brakes, 19-inch wheels, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a drift brake. Acceleration is brisk—0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds—and cornering grip is impressive thanks to chassis tuning and sticky rubber.
Inside, a wide digital display flows cleanly into the dash, while Ford’s 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen handles infotainment duties with clarity. The interior feels premium, though some controls lack tactile polish. Steering is precise, ride quality holds up well, and the available active exhaust brings an edge.
