Exploring Appalachia had long been one of my bucket list items. Well, this year I find got a chance to check that off the list. While I fully realize that I really only scratched the surface on this fascinating region, at least I got my toes wet.
In this feature length travel documentary you'll get a firsthand look at 9 different towns in the Appalachian region of Eastern Kentucky. We visit the hometown of country music royalty, we visit old coal towns that have seen a fall from grace, we visit sites of the Hatfield and McCoy feud, we visit towns with notoriously violent chapters in their history, we check out some of the local restaurants and see the sites around the area. Whether were on a mountain road, down in a holler, or cruising down a mountain highway - there's always something to see in Appalachia.
