The water heater worked fine after replacing three thermistors 14 months ago until April of this year, 2024. I began receiving these alerts: EcoNet Alert - A005 Heat Pump Water Heater Gen 5 Compressor Shutdown: Discharge Temp High. I contacted Rheem Technical Support for hybrid hot water heaters at 800-995-0982. They helped me troubleshoot this new problem, sent me a new thermistor and this video shows how I replaced it. I highly recommend you first review the earlier video in the link above before or after watching this one before you begin working on yours.
