Flying across the sawgrass at sunset? In the Florida Everglades? Our family wanted to do something spectacular so we booked an airboat ride on the edge of the Francis S. Taylor wildlife area - also known as the Everglades Park area. We found a character for our airboat captain and set off to see alligators as the sun set in the swamp. The swamp comes alive at sunset with stunning skies and active wildlife. We saw quite a few alligators in the canal and out in the waters. Airboats are some of the most popular ways to get around and this airboat ride got us to a private island too. We learned about alot of the flora and fauna like the willow bark and some of the mint species. I also included footage of our airboat rides in the Peace River, in Arcadia, Florida and through the mangrove tunnels of Everglade City.
