Slide 1- Did you know that a large number of people in central regions of Afghanistan—especially in Bamyan province—do not consume fresh vegetables even once a month?
They are often forced to buy their needed vegetables at very high prices, transported from neighboring provinces or Kabul, over 200 kilometers away.
Slide 2- By establishing smart greenhouses and with the goal of ensuring food security, we aim to pioneer vegetable cultivation in central regions of Afghanistan;
so that people can grow and consume fresh vegetables throughout the year by utilizing their local resources.
This project can directly provide financial support to 15 families, consisting of 105 individuals,
and indirectly benefit more than 2,500 people by giving them access to fresh vegetables.
Slide 3- We have found that many people in these regions are unable to afford fresh vegetables due to economic hardship.
The establishment of smart greenhouses can not only improve their access to healthy, fresh produce, but also serve as a valuable opportunity for economic growth, job creation, and improved household livelihoods.
Slide 4- AWSESO is committed to creating educational opportunities for women and girls, especially in disadvantaged areas, while providing access to technical and vocational training to empower them and enhance their economic independence.
Slide 5- The main goal of this project is to utilize modern technologies for the sustainable management of food, energy, and water resources.
By implementing methods such as smart greenhouses, renewable energy sources, and intelligent water resource management, the project aims to increase efficiency and optimize resource consumption.
These innovative solutions can sustainably address the essential needs of society, particularly ensuring food security in urban and water-scarce areas.
Slide 6- The smart greenhouse is an innovative initiative in our community, as it enables the cultivation of fresh vegetables throughout all seasons of the year. This technology not only contributes to strengthening food security but also plays a vital role in managing water resources, promoting economic growth, creating job opportunities, and increasing household income.
Our strategy is centered on ensuring food security, as it is directly linked to improving public health, reducing poverty and achieving sustainable economic development.
