Step inside the world of acclaimed singer-songwriter Tanita Tikaram as she returns with her powerful new album, 'LIAR (Love Isn't A Right').

The Documentary premiere is on Sunday 9th of November at the Doc’N Roll Film Festival at BFI Southbank and features an intimate Q&A with me and director Natacha Horn, interviewed by cultural broadcaster Nikki Bedi.

The film explores the time we are living in, where we see dishonesty and cruelty often being rewarded, and the values I hold closest—diversity, queerness, individuality, compassion — under attack. As an artist, I wrestle with how to find a language that responds to this reality: how to write songs, or tell stories, that don’t just react with anger, but create space for nuance, understanding, and humanity. Art has to remind us that what some call weakness—empathy, complexity, difference—is actually our greatest strength. That’s the responsibility I feel as both an artist and a citizen.
