Ingredients:
35g butter
75g kadayif string
18 dates without seeds
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for greasing hands)
130g white chocolate
130g milk chocolate
Walnuts or nuts of choice (as desired)
Recipe:
Place the kadayif strands in a pan and toast them over low heat. Add the butter and mix well until the strands are fully coated and turn golden brown. Soak the pitted dates in hot water for 5 minutes. After this time, drain the water, peel the dates easily, and mash them until soft.
Mix the softened dates with the toasted kadayif and knead the mixture slightly.
Melt the chocolate (both white and milk chocolate) using a bain-marie method or microwave. Lightly grease your hands with vegetable oil. Take a walnut-sized portion of the date and kadayif mixture, place a piece of walnut or your preferred nuts in the centre, and shape it into small balls. Dip the truffles into the melted milk chocolate and white chocolate, ensuring they are well coated. Place them in the fridge for 30 minutes to set. After chilling, drizzle some melted chocolate over the truffles for decoration and return them to the fridge for another 15 minutes.Once set, the truffles are ready to serve. Enjoy!
